With just over a third of the season left to go, Arsenal are right in the mix for a return to the Champions League.

The Gunners currently sit sixth in the most recent Premier League standings, four points behind Manchester United but with three games in-hand on the Red Devils.

Should they earn victories in all of those, then that would certainly leave Mikel Arteta’s men in a very promising position to reclaim their place at Europe’s top table for the first time since 2017.

Ahead of that, the current squad certainly needs some investment. Vacancies at striker and in midfield need to be filled and the search for recruits already appears to be underway with a number of names having been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

With that being said, takes a look at what Arsenal ’s squad could potentially look like in their first Champions League game should they secure a place in the competition for next term and a few select deals are completed in time.

Heading into the summer, it appears unlikely that there will be significant alterations to Arsenal’s current backline after plenty of expenditure over the past couple of campaigns.
