How Antonio Conte unlocked Scott McTominay as ex-Man United man makes Juventus look like 'children'

The Italian media have heaped praise on Scott McTominay following his arrival at Napoli from Manchester United in the summer.

Broadcaster Riccardo Trevisani claimed the Scotland international made Juventus look like 'children' during the weekend's Serie A fixture, which ended 0-0.

Since transferring from Manchester United, McTominay has quickly become a standout figure in Serie A, despite only starting once for Napoli. He was a substitute against Cagliari but was in the starting lineup for the goalless draw with Juventus in Turin last weekend.

Former Chelsea and Spurs boss, Antonio Conte, switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation to maximise McTominay's impact. The former United man was his usual hardworking self but could be seen running at the opposition's defence with the power and directness regularly seen during his time at Old Trafford. In his new role as an attacking midfielder, McTominay may not have broken the deadlock, but his performance was nothing short of colossal.

Broadcaster Trevisani was left in awe, stating: "Seeing McTominay live is incredible, impressive: he looked like Gulliver with children, they bounced off him! I thought he was playing in place of Politano, instead Conte worked with Politano on the full wing."
