SOME DETAIL (3:10) can bolster our Festival funds by landing the William Hill Chase at Taunton.

Nigel Hawke’s charge made a cracking return to fences when slamming Esprit De Somoza here. The gelding was staying-on strongly over three miles so he can land a stronger event up in trip. The shrewd Devon handler can double-up with SINDABELLA (4:50) in the staying hurdle. The mare is nicely unexposed over three miles after being chinned by Flying Nun over track and trip.

Tom Lacey has hit top gear so I’m on DIBBLE DECKER (3:45) in the feature handicap hurdle. Impressive at Huntingdon, the gelding improved again when second to Osprey Call at Warwick. That is excellent form so this pacey type can take full advantage of a reasonable opening mark. ROYAL PLAZA (4:20) can shade a competitive two-miler for the skilled Katie Stephens. The veteran chaser returned with a creditable second behind Go As You Please at Warwick. The 11-year-old looks fairly-treated so he can go one better with that run under his belt. RAFFLES GITANE (1:45) can plunder the novice chase at Stratford for Harry Whittington. The mare improved for the return to two miles when routing Galop De Chasse at Huntingdon. That race is working out extremely well so the five-year-old can land another tricky contest.

FLEURMAN (2:20) can maintain Olly Murphy’s winning run in a red-hot juvenile hurdle. The grey rates a sure-fire improver after absolutely bolting up from Krypton Gold at Market Rasen. The handler
