Horror at Bury Market as three people are injured in brutal triple stabbing as terrified lunchtime shoppers watch

Shoppers watched on in horror after three people were stabbed in Bury on Monday (March 11). Emergency services, including an air ambulance, descended on the scene near to Bury Market, off Murray Road, after the brutal attack.

Three victims, whose ages have not yet been confirmed by police, were rushed to hospital from the scene having sustained stab wounds. Their injuries were not described as life-threatening, and one person has since been discharged with 'minor cuts'.

Those passing the scene on Monday saw the victims laying on the ground along a walkway as they were being treated by paramedics before they were taken to hospital. A large cordon was erected throughout the afternoon, with a number of footpaths near to the interchange also taped off amid investigations.

"Why do people carry knives around?" added another
