'Honest' Tony Watt will be fuming about his miss, says Motherwell boss

Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell says ‘honest’ Tony Watt will be the first to admit he should have earned his side a point against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

“If you know Tony, you probably know he is the most honest guy in the world – he will beat himself up more than I ever would.

“I haven’t seen it back, but it did look like a decent opportunity.

“I am pretty sure Tony will be the first to go either side of the goalkeeper.

Kettlewell was puzzled by referee Chris Graham adding on only 45 seconds of stoppage time, after being told by the fourth official that there would be a full minute – but was told to go away when he queried it.

“They played 45 seconds instead of the time we had been told it would be by the fourth official,” said Kettlewell.

“I spoke to the ref about it and he told me it’s subjective, so to go away, stop causing trouble.
