Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds names ex-Everton and Liverpool striker goal as 'top ten life moment'

Hollywood celebrity and current Wrexham A.F.C joint-owner Ryan Reynolds has sent a message to Paul Mullin following his FA Trophy wonder goal.

Wrexham ended Stockport’s 21-game unbeaten run to reach the final of the FA Trophy at Wembley on Saturday afternoon. Mullin bagged a stoppage-time brace to secure his side a 2-0 win.

The forward became a household name in the lower divisions of the English Football League last season as he claimed League Two's top scorer title after he produced 32-goals for Cambridge United.

And after attracting interest from a number of established Football League clubs, the 27-year-old decided to head to the National League as he penned a contract with Wrexham. And now in his first season with the club, he is preparing for a trip to Wembley.

The semi-final between the National League's top two had been a tight affair, which came to life in the second half. And as the game entered stoppage time, Mullin sent the Racecourse Ground crazy.

First, as Wrexham broke on the counter, Mullin chipped County goalkeeper Ben Hinchcliffe to give the hosts a dramatic lead. Then, just moments later, Mullin added a second after chipping the ball over Hinchcliffe and finishing into the empty net.

Taking to social media after the game, Deadpool star Reynolds, who was in attendance, wrote about Mullin’s first goal : “Seeing this in person was a top ten life moment for me. Thank you, @Wrexham_AFC.”
