Hollyoaks James Nightingale star opens up on new project away from Channel 4 soap

Hollyoaks legend Gregory Finnegan has opened up about his new project away from the Channel 4 soap.

The 44-year-old actor joined the cast of the serial drama as lawyer James Nightingale back in 2016 and he's been at the centre of some gripping storylines over the past nine years.

However, he's set to show fans the real him in his new bombshell memoir, The World According to Grog, in which he opens up about his personal and private life away from the cameras.

Speaking about his exciting new project, Gregory said: "It's a collection of stories and anecdotes. As actors, we can work flat out or be completely dead at work but I had a bit of time at the start of the year and I had a few funny stories about auditions I've had, people I've met and the funny interactions I've had and it kind of snowballed and I had a lot.

"It's a bit of a love letter to the show and the brilliant people who work there and I thought I'd realise the book. It's been a lot of hard work and a lot of stress but I can't wait for it come out now.

"Hopefully the book will change this but I don't think people necessarily know much about me or my personality. There's lots funny stories in the book which will be a bit illuminating for those people who don't know me personally. I' definitely give away my lack of patience which I'm trying to work on, but it's not that easy."

Elsewhere in his autobiography, James claims that Hollyoaks bosses forced to strip off on his first day so he could be "sheared like a sheep" in front of his new cast mates.
