Holly Willoughby shares 'heartbreaking' image as she breaks social media silence after ITV This Morning absence

Holly Willoughby has shared a message of 'hope' as she broke her social media silence during her time away from This Morning. The presenter was forced off the ITV daytime show this week after testing positive for coronavirus. Her positive test came just hours before she was supposed to host the Dancing On Ice semi-finals alongside Phillip Schofield on Sunday.

Phillip, 59, was left to host the skating competition solo with ITV explaining that it was too late to find a replacement for Holly after viewers made 'sexism' claims.

But there was enough time for them to find a replacement for the 41-year-old's weekday role as Josie Gibson once again stepped into her shoes alongside Phillip for three days before Friday This Morning host Alison Hammond took the reigns a day early on Thursday. Phillip had been giving updates about Holly's health but the mum-of-three hadn't posted on social media or hadn't sent a message directly into the show she's hosted for 13 years.

Speaking on Thursday, Phillip said Holly was "still taking care of herself" and a day earlier he said she was "fine" but "annoyed" at the situation she has found herself in weeks after Phillip himself had to take time off after contracting the virus.

But now, Holly has returned to social media but only to share a post about her latest monthly Wylde Moon project.
