Holly Willoughby fans distracted as she's seen with famous pals for birthday outing and fans flood her with messages

Holly Willoughby has been seen with her gang of famous pals as she returned to social media for only the third time since her shock decision to quit This Morning back in October last year. The presenter's latest update comes after she returned to screens on Dancing on Ice over the weekend.

In the days before her comeback, Holly broke her social media silence by posting a picture of her scripts with her sweet cat, Bluebell, in the background with her millions of social media followers. "And so it begins…" she simply wrote with an ice skating emoji.

She then returned to the social media platform on Sunday as she showed off her look for the ITV skating competition show's return and posed up a storm in a figure-hugging sparkling silver dress. The 42-year-old was flooded with compliments for her stunning appearance as well as support for her first live TV show in three months.

Now though, Holly has given a more personal glimpse into her life for the first time since she decided to quit This Morning after 14 years, a decision she said was for herself and her family.

She took to Instagram with a smiling snap of herself and her group of gal pals after they headed out for lunch to celebrate Spice Girl Emma Bunton's upcoming birthday. She was joined by Holly, Christine Lampard, All Saints' Nicole Appleton, talent manager Shiarra Bell and PR guru Niki de Metz to mark the occasion - which is a tradition for the group of friends and has been documented on social media over the years.
