Holders Galway United to face Treaty United in Avenir Sports All-Island Cup quarter-finals

Holders Galway United will host Treaty United in the quarter-finals of the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup after the draw for the first knockout stage was made on Tuesday in Belfast.

The competition, which brings together the 11 clubs from the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division and five clubs from Northern Ireland, is in its second year, with the group stage completed at the weekend.

Current Premier Division leaders Galway, who won the inaugural All-Island Cup by beating Belfast's Cliftonville in the final last July, will look to continue their defence of the trophy when Limerick's Treaty United visit on the week ending 23 June.

They are on the same side of the draw as Wexford who will make the trip to Belfast to meet Linfield Women, the only remaining Northern Irish club in this year's edition of the tournament.

Shelbourne and reigning FAI Women's Cup champions Athlone Town have also been drawn together, while Shamrock Rovers and 2023 league champions Peamount United will meet in a Dublin derby, with the winners of both of those all-Premier Division quarter-final ties meeting at the semi-final stage which will be played on the week ending 21 July.

The final is scheduled for the week of 18 August.
