Hogg to earn 100th cap as Scotland make two changes

Stuart Hogg will earn his 100th cap for Scotland this weekend, named to start at full-back in Sunday's Guinness Six Nations meeting with Ireland at Murrayfield (live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player).

The former captain, who made his debut back in 2012, will become just the fourth men's player to hit a century of Test appearances for Scotland.

Head coach Gregor Townsend has made two changes from the side that were beaten by France in Round 3, with Jonny Gray coming in at second row to replace the suspended Grant Gilchrist while Jack Dempsey makes his first start of the championship at number 8.

Hogg is part of an unchanged backline, which once again sees Kyle Steyn and Duhan van der Merwe on the wings, with the centre partnership of Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones also retained.

Finn Russell starts as expected at out-half, with London Irish's Ben White behind the scrum.

In the pack, Pierre Schoeman, George Turner and Zander Fagerson are named in the front row, with the Gray brothers - Jonny and Richie - at lock.

Dempsey's inclusion sees a reshuffle in the backrow; Hamish Watson drops to the bench, Matt Fagerson moving to the blindside flank, and captain Jamie Ritchie starting at openside.

Simon Berhgan and Scott Cummings are both promoted to the replacements, as is Chris Harris, who was left out of the Round 3 defeat in Paris.

Ireland named their matchday squad on Friday afternoon, with Johnny Sexton, Tadhg Furlong and Garry Ringrose all overcoming injuries to be included in the starting XV.
