Hilton and Slevin fail to advance at Artistic Gymnastics World Championships
Ireland's Halle Hilton and Emma Slevin were both in action on the second day of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Belgium.
The Irish pair were competing in the women's all-around competition in Antwerp, with Hilton finishing in 59th position overall with a score of 49.665, with Slevin 78th and a total score of 48.166.
"On what was a very big occasion we are all very proud of the girls performances tonight," national women's coach Sandra Stevenson said.
The focus now shifts to the men's pommel final on Saturday where current world champion Rhys McClenaghan will defend his title.
McClenaghan secured his place in the final with a score of 14.933 placing third in the qualifiers.
The final commences at 2.50pm Irish time.
