Hillary Clinton appears mesmerized by WNBA team's dancing elephant mascot

Love it or hate it, there are a lot of eyeballs on the WNBA these days, and where there are eyeballs, you can be sure Hillary Clinton and her armada of pantsuits are going to show up at some point.

That point was on Monday, with the former first lady, secretary of state, senator and 2016 presidential election loser showing up to watch the New York Liberty take on the Seattle Storm.

But Clinton may not even remember a basketball game taking place, because it sure looked like her favorite part of the night involved the Liberty's dancing elephant.

Clinton sat next to team owner Clara Tsai in some courtside seats during the game. She also took some time to chat with stars like Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu.

But the biggest star of all was Liberty mascot Ellie.

Yes, Ellie the Elephant ... they must have been up against their lunch break when they were working on that name.

But, Ellie is one of the WNBA's premier mascots, up there with What's-its-name, and that other one.
