Hibs XI v Bonnyrigg Rose confirmed as Bojang set for first chance as new recruits wait for debuts

Hibs manager Lee Johnson has selected his Hibs starting XI to take on Bonnyrigg Rose in their penultimate Premier Sports Cup group stage match.

It's been a busy week at Easter Road with Marijan Cabraja arriving and Josh Doig exiting.

Following a humbling 1-0 loss to League One club Falkirk attention now turns to the SPFL newcomers, Bonnyrigg Rose. Fresh signing Momodou Bojang is in the Leith squad for the first time after sorting out his work permit but Jair Tavares and Ellie Youan's wait for a debut goes on.

Cabraja also isn't involved but there's a spot for Nohan Kenneh in midfield and Aiden McGeady on the flanks. Victory would put Johnson's Hibs a point above Falkirk ahead of their final Group D match versus Morton on Wednesday, but the Bairns do hold a game in hand. Norwegian striker Elias Melkersen is looking forward to the match.

He said: "This game (against Bonnyrigg) will suit us well. We just need to have the mentality, fight and desire to smash them. I think it should be good.”

Marshall, Porteous, Kenneh, Doidge, Newell, Cadden, Stevenson, Henderson, Melkersen, Bushiri, McGeady.

Dąbrowski, Miller, Bojang, Tait, Hauge, Campbell, McClelland, Delferrière, Blaney.
