It might be too early in the season for Ron Gordon but most can't wait for Hibs and Hearts to go head to head.

The Easter Road chief hit out at the Scottish Premiership fixture schedulers for arranging the Edinburgh derby in just the second week of the new league campaign.

The capital clash took place in just the fourth matchday last season and it was a fairly drab goalless encounter at Tynecastle. But hopefully the pair can serve up a more entertaining game this time around.

Two former team-mates will be in opposite dug-outs with Lee Johnson and Robbie Neilson having played together for the Jambos so they certainly know what this game is all about - and Neilson in particular from his lengthy time as a player and now in his second stint as boss of the men in maroon.

Martin Boyle is set to be paraded after his return from Al-Faisaly, although the Australia international won't play any part in the game.

Hibs won at St Johnstone on the opening day while the Jambos defeated Ross County at home so both sides have the chance to join champions Celtic and Rangers on six points from their first two games.
