Hibs transfer deadline state of play on Barker, Rogers, Allan, Gogic and Wright

One of the busiest managers going into the final hours of transfer deadline day is likely to be Shaun Maloney.

The Hibs boss has plenty on his plate and that includes incomings and outgoings.

And a new name has popped up for the former in the shape of Manchester City winger Morgan Rogers.

The Edinburgh Evening News claim the 19-year-old, who was on loan at Bournemouth, has been recalled and is now an option for Maloney to help replace the void left by Martin Boyle's departure.

Talks have also been held over a return for Brandon Barker on loan from Rangers but Maloney insists a deal is "not close".

Attention then turns to outgoing players and the club are focused on keeping Drey Wright, who has featured more regularly since the new manager's arrival in a new central role.

They are more open to letting Alex Gogic leave.

The Cypriot midfielder was suggested as part of a package to sign Jamie McGrath from St Mirren and while the Buddies stood firm they remain open to signing the former Hamilton man.

Their manager Jim Goodwin said earlier today: "Alex is one I have been interested in for a few windows.

"There's still hours to go in the window and if something can be done then we will see."

Finally, Scott Allan could be allowed to leave despite Maloney claiming the club were looking to keep him over the weekend.

Kilmarnock have held talks as Derek McInnes looks to fuel their promotion push.
