Here's how many points Red Bull needs to win first F1 Constructors' title since 2013

Red Bull Racing is looking to win its first Formula 1 Constructors' championship since 2013 in Texas this weekend. The Austrian team has been on a rampage in 2022, winning 14 of the season's 18 races so far.

Heading into the 19th of 22 races this year, the team enjoys a healthy points advantage over nearest rivals Ferrari, with defending champions Mercedes-AMG out of championship contention.

Possible scenario(s)

Going into the race, Red Bull leads the charge with 619 points to Ferrari's 454. That's a lead of 165 points. At the end of this weekend's race, the Bulls' advantage must be at least 147 points to seal its first Constructors' title in almost a decade. There are still 191 points up for grabs this season, including the ones available at Brazil's Sprint Race.

In short, Red Bull must outscore Ferrari by 18 points around the Circuit of The Americas.

Red Bull will, thus, head to Mexico next weekend needing just one point to secure the title.

Of course, any scenario where Red Bull has the upper hand will play in its favour, registering its first championship double since 2013.

In Japan a fortnight ago, Verstappen sealed the 2022 Drivers' championship with four rounds remaining. But, says the Dutchman, he is intent on winning more races this year now that the pressure is off.

"There is no real pressure
