Henry Cejudo has told Conor McGregor he must "take notes" on his technique as the pair's Twitter war of words continues.

Both former double champions, Cejudo and McGregor have been going back-and-forth on social media for the last few weeks, with the Irishman often deleting his responses to the American. Cejudo tends to allow his posts to stay up, and has now told McGregor that he should be learning from watching his fight with Dominick Cruz in 2020.

Cejudo defeated the legendary two-time bantamweight champion Cruz in May of 2020 at UFC 249; the first sporting event back from coronavirus lockdown. Their fight was a back-and-forth one that saw the champion cut, but ultimately he managed to stop Cruz with a massive knee, although the stoppage was protested.

And commenting on his own video analysing the fight, Cejudo took another jab at McGregor by noting that he still had a lot to learn. "Yo, Conor, take notes," he tweeted. "This is what I’m talking about distance combine with the right timing. Sincerely - The technical savage."

The footage shows Cejudo and Cruz late in the second round of their meeting as they posture at one another looking for an opening. Cruz gets low to try and throw over the top and gets caught cleanly with a big knee, which sees the fight stopped shortly after.
