Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan shared a message to pal Carol Vorderman as she misses The Grand National.

The actress attended Ladies Day yesterday, wearing a stunning £215 Karen Millen dress. She spoke to the ECHO about how much she loved glamming up for the event.

Helen’s fellow I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here…South Africa star Carol Voderman usually attends Aintree racecourse for the famous event, but this year she has yet to be spotted. Now, Helen has shared a message to her friend after she missed Ladies Day.

On her Instagram Story, Helen shared a photo of herself from Ladies Day with the caption: “Meerkat @carolvorders missed you today [heart emoji].”

In the next Story, she shared Carol’s response, which read: “My little Helen Meerkat Satanic Angel (full name) missed me today.” The two are set to star in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here…South Africa on ITV later this month.

The series will see Helen and Carol joined by a number of other celebs, including Shaun Ryder, Amir Khan, Jordan Banjo, Phil Tufnell, Janice Dickinson, Fatima Whitbread and Paul Burrell. More names are expected to be announced later on.

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here…South Africa will begin on Monday, April 24 and is set to air for three weeks on weekdays and end in mid-May.
