The country may well be getting battered by Storm Floris but it is GAME ON in Gorgie as the opening weekend comes to a close.

Derek McInnes has adjusted to life in the Tynecastle dugout and sailed through the Premier Sports Cup group stage with a 100 per cent record while Jimmy Thelin's men return to competitive action for the first time tonight.

They avoided the opening part of the competition due to European involvement with the Dons discovering that it is FCSB or Drita that stand between them and Europa League football. Defeat and it is Conference League once again for the Reds.

But the focus is on the here and now for both teams as they look to get off to a flier in the new league campaign.

The centre-midfielder is one Derek McInnes hopes will bring a real presence to his side.
