Heartless thieves raid church donations box... but can only steal £20
A church was raided by thieves who forced their way inside and stole cash from the donations box.
The burglars shattered a window to break into St Thomas' Church in Stockton Heath, in Cheshire, before pinching around £20 from a donations box.
The thieves struck between the evening of Thursday, May 30, and the early morning of Friday, May 31. An unknown number of individuals forced entry by smashing the window after a failed attempt to break the exterior padlock that secured the front door.

Police investigating the burglary in the Warrington village of Stockton Heath are appealing for witnesses to come forward, reports Cheshire Live.
Detective Sergeant Alexander Reeves said: "As well as appealing for witnesses, we are also looking to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area in the evening of Thursday, May 30 and the early hours of Friday, May 31.
"The same goes for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage which they believe will be of assistance."
"While our enquiries continue, we're also urging residents in the area to remain cautious and ensure that their properties and outbuildings are kept secure at all times."
