Heartfelt tributes flood in for 'bubbly' mum-of-two tragically found dead on footpath in Rochdale

Heartfelt tributes have been flooding in for a 'bubbly' and 'caring' mum-of-two who was tragically found dead on a footpath in Rochdale in the early hours of Monday (July 17).

Kerry Newman, 40, was discovered on the path close to Ashfield Valley Primary School and the Sandbrook Retail Park at around 4.30am. Emergency services attended however Kerry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives launched an investigation into her death and said they were probing 'suspicious circumstances' before arresting a 48-year-old man and 52-year-old woman on suspicion of murder.

Following Kerry's death, tributes have been flooding in for the mum-of-two. Her uncle Carlo Marson told the M.E.N: "Kerry is my niece and this has really hit us hard. Kerry was a really fun and bubbly girl, always smiling and laughing.

"Her life may have been taken but her light and love will shine on through her family, friends and, of course, her two boys. As the song goes, I hope you’re dancing in the sky, Kerry. Sleep tight."

And her cousin Donna Skinner said: "I remember growing up and Kerry was always happy full of smiles. Beautiful young lady who will always be shining bright up in heaven and has been taken way too soon. R.I.P beautiful angel."

Heartfelt tributes were also paid to Kerry on social media, as Sheryl Clark commented: "R.I.P Kerry you were such a caring and gentle girl. I’ll never forget the laughs we had. Sleep tight."

As Kel Bel said: "R.I.P Kerry my old time friend. May god rest your soul beautiful" and Donna Sykes wrote: "RIP Kerry sleep tight I will look after your mum. My heart is breaking I can't believe you are gone."
