Heartbroken dad says his 'kids don't properly realise' after tragic loss

A husband has paid tributes to his wife who tragically died from colon cancer.

Rosemary Udoka Asiwe died on Sunday, August 8. She was a prominent local immigration, personal injury, and family lawyer who touched the hearts of many in her local Merseyside area.

Following her funeral on Friday, husband Max Asiwe paid tribute to his 'bubbly' wife of 13 years. Max, who works as a GP in Woolton, talked about the woman he first met as a student, the Liverpool Echo reports.

He said: "I'm really missing her now. I'm really going to continue to miss her. There are a lot of people her passing has affected, in many different ways.

"She was very bubbly, very outgoing and very easy-going as well and a very lovable person. She was always willing to help and always willing to be there for someone else.

"She fought for the rights of a lot of people. We met at the University of Benin in 1999. I can't tell you what it was but I was attracted to her instantly and we hit it off straight away.

We got married in 2010. It was brilliant. We got married in London. I came over from Nigeria first and she came after.

"She went to Glasgow first for a master's degree. I was in London. Then she came down before we moved to Liverpool.

"She had colon cancer. She was diagnosed last year. She had symptoms and went into hospital. She was becoming unwell. We went to Whiston Hospital and that's when the diagnosis was made.

"I felt confusion, numbness and shock. We have three children. Three girls.

"They're kids, they're dealing with it like kids. They don't properly realise
