Concerns are growing for a missing man who has not been seen since New Year's Eve. William, from Stockport, was last seen outside a restaurant on Wilmslow Road, in Cheadle.

That was at 10.30pm on December 31. The search to find William is continuing today (January 8), eight days later.

Greater Manchester Police has shared an appeal to find him on social media again today. William, whose surname has not been given, is described as being 6ft 1ins tall and of medium build.

He has long, wavy brown hair. GMP says William was last seen wearing a dark tracksuit, a dark bubble coat and dark Nike trousers. A photo of William was issued alongside the missing appeal from police.

Anyone who sees William or has information on his whereabouts is urged to come forward as soon as possible. Information can be passed on to GMP by calling 0161 856 9815.
