'He said he only had a couple of beers watching the game... well a couple too many'
A driver failed a roadside breath test yesterday after claiming he 'only had a couple of beers watching the game'.
Police stopped the driver in the Prestwich area yesterday afternoon (Sunday). He was 'unsteady on his feet', officers said.
He claimed to have had a 'couple of beers' but during a roadside breath test, he blew a reading of 56 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35. The driver was arrested.
