"He's trained..": Huge SAFC injury update emerges that'll leave supporters buzzing - opinion

A huge Sunderland injury update has emerged regarding Aiden McGeady ahead of the League One play-off final against Wycombe this afternoon…

Alex Neil has revealed that the Irish winger has been progressing well recently and has put himself in contention to play at Wembley.

The Republic of Ireland international managed three goals and four assists – averaging 2.4 key passes per game – in the 12 starts he made during the first half of the campaign.

Last season, he averaged a phenomenal SofaScore rating of 7.31 as he played in 31 League One matches for Sunderland. He ended 2020/21 with four goals and 16 assists as he created an outstanding 2.5 chances per
