'He's in with a shout' - £2.7m-rated Celtic man tipped as 'Player of the Year' contender

Podcaster Declan McConville has claimed that Cameron Carter-Vickers has been outstanding for Celtic this season and could be in with a shout for Player of the Season.

Carter-Vickers has been a mainstay in the Celtic side this campaign whilst on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, featuring 25 times in the Scottish Premiership, as per Transfermarkt.

His impressive displays in Scotland this season have attracted the attention of many English Premier League clubs such as Leicester City and West Ham United, with as many as six clubs – including Celtic – keeping tabs over a permanent move for the defender in the summer, as per TEAMtalk.

McConville has suggested on the A Celtic State of Mind podcast just how good Carter-Vickers has been this season for the Hoops.

He said: “Obviously the goal against St Mirren, another outstanding performance. I think, arguably, he’s in with a shout for Player of the Year for Celtic this year. He’s been absolutely solid in that Celtic defence. Even going forward on Sunday, he was like a lorry going through that Livingston team.”
