'He's going to be some player' - Huddersfield Town target Elliot Anderson tipped for big future

Huddersfield Town are just one of a number of Football League clubs said to be monitoring Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson. According to the i, Huddersfield are interested in taking Anderson on loan for the upcoming Championship campaign.

The 19-year-old impressed last term during his loan spell at Bristol Rovers, which saw him earn both the claimed the EFL's Young Player of the Month and League Two Player of the Month awards in April. Anderson bagged eight goals and five assists in 21 appearances for the Gas, and is potentially the best prospect Newcastle have produced in years.

Magpies boss Eddie Howe is keen to give Anderson a chance to impress during pre-season. However, even if he does impress, there is still a chance Newcastle will loan Anderson out in order to aid his development.

Regular minutes at Championship level could be something that entices Newcastle to loan out the 19-year-old. They will likely not want to hinder his development by keeping him on the bench or on the fringes of the first team squad, making a move to Huddersfield plausible.
