"He's brilliant" - Journalist hails £43m Tottenham target who had Dusan Vlahovic "in his pocket"

Tottenham Hotspur target Gleison Bremer is ‘brilliant’ and would be an impressive addition to Antonio Conte’s squad at Hotspur Way, according to journalist Conor Clancy.

Spurs have moved quickly in the transfer market, with Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma already agreeing terms in north London, and Bremer is clearly in head coach Conte’s sights.

According to Calciomercato, Bremer is on holiday and considering who he should leave current employers Torino for.

The report suggests the 6 ft 2 central defender is particularly of interest to Tottenham and Serie A giants Inter Milan.

With Bremer’s £18,000-per-week contract set to expire next summer, the Brazilian appears to be destined to leave Torino before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.

It is understood that Torino are looking to recoup €50m (£43m) for Bremer, who is eager to compete in the Champions League next season.

That is something Spurs can offer after finishing fourth in the Premier League standings during the 2021/22 campaign.

Clancy is a huge fan of Bremer and believes he would be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.

The journalist feels the 25-year-old would be an impressive addition to Conte’s squad and his performances against Dusan Vlahovic, during the Serbian’s spells with Fiorentina and Juventus, stood out.

Clancy told GIVEMESPORT: “I think he’s brilliant. He’s strong, aggressive and a bit of a wall.

“In Serie A, this year, Dusan Vlahovic was tearing it up against everyone except for against Torino because Bremer just had him in his pocket. That’s the type of level that he is.”
