"He knows now..." - Transfer insider shares interesting Ruben Neves exit claim at Wolves
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ in-demand star man Ruben Neves knows he has the ‘pick of the leagues’ if he opts to leave Molineux at the end of the season, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
Neves has been on Wolves’ books since completing a then-club record switch worth £15.8million in 2017, but the former Porto man’s long-term future is in doubt.
According to Spanish sources, Barcelona are targeting Neves as a potential replacement for holding midfielder Sergio Busquets.
Busquets entered the final 18 months of his Nou Camp contract at the turn of the year and, with the 133-cap Spain international now being 33, head coach Xavi is seeking a long-term successor to his former team-mate.
It comes after the Daily Mail revealed the La Liga giants are eager to strike a deal which would see Neves head to Catalonia at the end of the season.
The report suggests the 25-year-old is likely to leave Wolves in the summer and talks have already been held between Barcelona and Neves’ intermediaries.
Barcelona are not the only overseas outfit tracking the 26-cap Portugal international as Italian media outlet Calciomercato have claimed Juventus are also in the hunt for Neves’ signature.

Jones understands that Neves has attracted widespread interest ahead of the summer window opening for business.
The transfer insider believes Premier League clubs and sides across the continent are eager to tempt Wolves into selling one of their prised assets.
As a result, Jones feels Neves’ future is firmly in his own hands as a number of the world’s biggest clubs are coveting him.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “He is consistently such a top performer and he knows now – and his agents know –
