Hartpury University v Ospreys live updates: Latest score and all the action from pre-season friendly

The Ospreys kick off their pre-season with a trip to Gloucestershire today to take on Hartpury University at Alpas Arena.

Toby Booth's side ended up as the Welsh Shield winners last year, being the highest-placed Welsh side in the URC. However, while that secured them Champions Cup qualification, they still missed out on a play-off spot - something that Booth will want to rectify this season.

With few signings made this summer, squad depth will once again be crucial for the Ospreys and the trip to Hartpury should give coaches and fans a chance to see plenty of youngsters get another run-out in the jersey. While it's not yet clear who will be playing, one player we know won't be featuring is Wales flanker Justin Tipuric.

The openside hasn't played since injuring his shoulder in the opening game of last year's Lions tour. He's nearing his comeback, but it's set to be at the start of September, rather than today.
