Harry Maguire & Bruno Fernandes send brilliant Nottingham Forest message after Dean Henderson transfer

Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire are among the Manchester United players to have wished Dean Henderson well at Nottingham Forest.

The goalkeeper's arrival at the City Ground was confirmed last week, with the 25-year-old joining on a season-long loan from Manchester United. At the time, he was the second signing of the summer following the arrival of Taiwo Awoniyi, though Giulian Biancone swiftly followed him into the club.

Henderson posted on Instagram that he was "absolutely delighted" to join the club and experience the City Ground. Several United players soon responded to his temporary exit from the Red Devils.

Harry Maguire commented: "Go smash it mate," while Bruno Fernandes added: "All the best bro," on his Instagram story. United youngster Teden Mengi posted: "Delighted for you Deano, all the best."

Speaking on his arrival at Forest, Henderson expressed his excitement for the season ahead. He said: "I want to thank the manager [ Steve Cooper ] and owners at Nottingham Forest for the great opportunity to play for this club in their first season back in the Premier League. I’m really excited to work with everyone at the club from the manager, players and goalkeeper coach Danny Alcock.

"The conversations with the manager have been outstanding. When I spoke to him, he was great and made me feel loved and I can't wait to play under him."
