Harry Kane reveals what Jude Bellingham said to him as Real Madrid star attempted Champions League mind games

Harry Kane has lifted the lid on Jude Bellingham's cheeky attempt at Champions League mind-games, revealing the young Real Madrid star's words during a crucial penalty moment.

Bellingham tried to psych out his England colleague by guessing which way he'd place his penalty, telling Kane he expected a shot to the keeper's left. Despite the distraction, Kane remained unfazed, only learning of Bellingham's comment post-match, as he recounted: "In the moment, I didn't know what he said but I spoke to him after and he said: 'I know you're going to go left of the keeper".

Bayern Munich star Kane added: "But it was nice for me because I saw the keeper go a little bit early and I put it away. Actually on the pitch, I didn't know what he said. I knew he was there but I didn't know what he said. But I went left anyway."

This incident highlights Kane's unshakeable confidence, having netted his 43rd season goal from that penalty, undeterred by any mind games. With his eyes firmly set on the Champions League final at Wembley and clinching his first-ever career trophy, Captain Kane believes his Bayern side can overcome favourites Real Madrid, especially after their impressive performance against Arsenal in the previous round.

Kane expressed his aspirations, saying: "I would be lying if I said that it wouldn't be a dream to play a Champions League final at Wembley. But I said from before the Arsenal game, there are some big, big steps we have to take and next week will be the biggest."

Reflecting on recent matches, he added: "We have come through three big games pretty well. The two Arsenal games, the first Real Madrid game here but it all comes down to next week and we have to perform on that occasion."
