Manchester United target Harry Kane has discussed his frustration at Tottenham's dismal results this season, which have seen the club thrown into disarray and fall out of contention for Champions League football.

Tottenham sacked Antonio Conte in March and they promoted his assistant Cristian Stellini to oversee the team until the end of the campaign, but he was relieved of his duties as interim coach after just four games in charge.

Spurs are also guaranteed to go a 15th successive season without winning a trophy and will not play in the Champions League again until 2024 at the earliest.

Kane, who is yet to win a trophy in his career, attempted to leave Tottenham two years ago and he's about to enter the final year of his contract at the club, which makes him an attractive proposition for Erik ten Hag this summer.

Wout Weghorst lifts lid on talks with Manchester United over his future

Wout Weghorst remains hopeful of staying at Manchester United beyond this season, despite it being understood the club are not planning on keeping him on a permanent basis.

Weghorst has scored just two goals since signing for United on loan from Burnley in the January transfer window and his start in attacking midfield against West Ham at the weekend was his first since the loss to Newcastle on April 2.

United do not have an option or obligation to sign Weghorst and it's understood a permanent offer is unlikely to be made.
