Harrison ‘excited for 2022’ after two-year DAO Racing deal

Isle of Man TT star Dean Harrison is in for a busy 2022 after securing a further two-year deal with DAO Racing.

With road racing back on the calendar for the coming season plus the Bennetts British Superbike Championship to contend with, Harrison has a packed schedule to balance but one he is keen to get his teeth into.

Having spent the past year working with the team as it concentrated on BSB, due to the ongoing pandemic cancellations, and with prior Senior success as a partnership at the Isle of Man in 2019, the Bradford-based rider and DAO Racing are keen to build on their relationship across the next two years.

DAO Racing – pronounced Dow – is owned by Isle of Man-based Clarissa Beadman and operates from its workshop in Cumbria, headed-up by Team Manager Jonny Bagnall.

The partnership will continue on Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R for both disciplines while DAO Racing remain the manufacturer’s official roads team for the welcome return of the Isle of Man TT, Northwest 200 and Ulster GP for 2022.



“I’m really excited about 2022, it feels like we’re finally getting back to some kind or normality,” Harrison said. “Last year, we didn’t have any road racing apart from one weekend at Oliver’s Mount, so our whole effort went into BSB.



“I think it proved to be an important season, when you’re running with some of the fastest superbike riders in the world, it can only help bring you on and I think both myself and the team learnt a lot.



“This year we have the international road racing back which is very exciting,” he continued. ”I’m confident what we’ve learnt in BSB so far will help make us faster when we get back on the roads and with a team and bike I know and work well with, this could certainly be my best year yet.”
