'Happy' teenager took his own life after he was 'stopped from seeing his baby'

A 'happy' and 'caring' teenage dad took his own life after his family say he was 'stopped' from seeing his baby son. Blake Sayers, 19, was found dead in a country park beauty spot after going to walk his dog. His girlfriend, Kira Halas, and others went out to look for him after being unable to get through to him on his mobile phone.

An inquest heard Blake had no history of mental health problems, but was struggling with not being a part of his son's life. He was also said to be down over the deaths of his grandmother and uncle.

His loved-ones told the inquest hearing that Blake wanted nothing more than to be the best dad to his son after becoming a father in 2022. However, they say the mother of the child 'restricted' his access.
