Hannibal Mejbri ‘in discussions with Sevilla’ over loan deal and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri is reportedly at the negotiating table with Spanish side Sevilla over a short-term loan.

The Tunisia international - who asked not to be picked for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations - has played 10 times this season, albeit has not started a match since the League Cup defeat to Newcastle on November 1.

Since playing the full 90 minutes of September’s 1-0 win over Burnley, Hannibal has earned just 15 Premier League minutes. Erik ten Hag has suffered a number of midfield injuries this season but Hannibal has not made much of a look-in in recent months.

Hannibal himself is keen on the move having played just 417 minutes this season but midfield ranks are currently thinned amid Donny van de Beek’s exit to Frankfurt while Casemiro and Mount yet to fully recover.

Meanwhile, Independent claims United may enquire about left-back Ryan Sessegnon now that Sergio Reguilon has returned to Tottenham. The defender is expected to return
