Hamilton’s W13 passes FIA’s ‘extensive physical inspection’
Lewis Hamilton’s W13 was the car selected by the FIA for “more extensive physical inspections” at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.
All the parts were found to be in compliance.
Although every car goes through a post-race check, this year the FIA is conducting a more through test on one car at every grand prix.
It is a random selection, the only criteria being that the car has to have finished inside the top ten.
Hamilton did just that with his W13 in Saudi Arabia, the Mercedes driver racing from 15th on the grid to 10th at the chequered flag.
His car was called up for the more extensive inspection, with the FIA revealing that it was found to be compliant with this year’s new technical regulations.
