Hamilton 1, Ross County 2: Quick-fire double hands County victory

Oli Shaw's first Hamilton goal wasn't enough as two quick-fire goals handed Ross County three points in the Premier Sports Cup and top spot in Group H.

Shaw's terrific early strike was cancelled out by a debut goal from Ronan Hale, and Jordan White added a second two minutes later.

Accies boss John Rankin made four changes to the side that beat Stranraer 3-0 on Saturday. Goalkeeper Charlie Albinson replaced Dean Lyness, while Reghan Tumilty, Steven Bradley and Scott Martin came in for Kyle MacDonald, Ben Williamson and Euan Henderson.

New signing, Daire O'Connor, was on the bench.

Ross County manager Don Cowie made six changes to the side that beat Raith Rovers 2-1 at the weekend. Goalkeeper Jack Hamilton replaced Ross Laidlaw, while Ryan Leak, Michee Efete, Alex Samuel, Josh Reid and Ronan Hale came in for Dylan Smith, Ricki Lamie, Victor Loturi, George Harmon and Eamonn Brophy..

Accies had a couple of skirmishes in the Ross County box, but the visitors went close first, with Hale firing just over the bar from about 20 yards.

Hamilton took the lead in 11 minutes when Shaw intercepted a poor pass from Ryan Leak, ran through on goal and finished
