Halo Infinite Co-op delayed, but is it the right move to make?

Fans of Halo Infinite have been wanting the game to add in a campaign co-op mode since the release of the free multiplayer beta, but it looks like they might have to wait a little longer for it.

Players are used to being able to explore the campaigns of previous games together, 343 Industries announced that they have pushed the release of a co-op campaign back, leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of the fanbase.

It’s understandable to see that the campaign of Halo Infinite is a breath of fresh air for the Halo series, with the player being able to roam an open world environment freely completing side quests alongside the main story. However, gamers were hoping to do this alongside friends to truly experience the vastness of what the game has to offer. Unfortunately, they might have to be a little more patient for it to be delivered.

Halo Infinite delivered what fans wanted most in a campaign, a linear story with freedom and room to explore. Players can take breaks between the main story quest to do things like saving marines from camps and taking FOBs back from the enemy or just simply admiring the stunning visuals that the game has to offer.

The open-world concept was a first for the series and was met with overwhelming love from the fanbase worldwide. The only thing missing was the ability to co-op the campaign with friends. It was expected that a co-op campaign was to be released alongside season 2 of the game’s multiplayer in May 2022, but now it’s been revealed by 343 Industries that it might not be the case.

The game itself is staggering in terms of size and variety, so, understandably, something like a co-op campaign would need some fine-tuning to get just right on launch. However, this news didn’t go down well
