Gro Clinics expands to the UK with Manchester as first location

Operations have already kicked off with an experienced team of doctors, nurses and support staff working at the new Gro Clinics location, located right off Deansgate.

The UK team offers the same signature hair transplant service that has previously seen Gro expand to five major cities across Australia.

In hair transplant surgery, hair follicles are extracted from the back and sides of the head, where the hairs are immune to genetic balding. These hairs are then implanted into areas affected by hair loss, where they continue to grow for life.

The hair transplantation technique used by Gro is known as Precise Follicle Placement (PFP). In PFP, the doctor extracts individual hair follicles with a punch less than 1mm in diameter. The follicles are then implanted with a precise tool that gives the doctor complete control over the angle and depth of each hair, creating a fully natural-looking result.

In contrast to older hair transplant techniques, PFP doesn’t require cutting and leaves no scars. This gives patients unlimited choice on how they would like to cut and style their hair in the future.

The recovery time for the procedure is minimal, with most patients taking one to two weeks off work and a month off intense exercise. Recovery time is based on the doctor’s suggestions to maximise recovery based on experience. However everyone is different and people may be able to return to work sooner or later.
