Green Brigade 'idiots' abused Celtic trust as Hotline tells them to start a NEW club if they want it all their own way
It's not often the jurors in the court of public opinion that is the Hotline deliver a unanimous verdict. But they did today as every call on Celtic’s decision to ban the Green Brigade was met with approval.
Kenny Wilson, Moffat, emailed: "The Green Brigade can have no complaints about having their season tickets suspended. They’ve had countless warnings about their behaviour and the club have been paying fines for them for years. Yes, they have done a lot of good for the club but they are alleged to be rushing turnstiles, opening fire exits and getting people in without tickets. Add to this aggressive behaviour towards stewards. If people think this behaviour is acceptable for Celtic fans then the club is in a bad place."
Michael Emonds, Northampton, said: "FC United of Manchester is a football club started by disillusioned Man United fans back in 2005, nicknamed the Red Rebels. Why don’t the Celtic ultras copy their example and start their own club and they can run it into the ground if they so wish? I also think when Celtic got the first fine caused by ultras years ago they should have issued them with a yellow card, on the second fine a straight RED and a Sine Die suspension."
R Campbell added: "Better late than never for Celtic to suspend their season tickets. I fully advocate the need for free speech as we live in a democratic society but the Green Brigade seem to think they are above the law and are untouchable.
"Storming turnstiles, illegal entry into Parkhead, threatening stewards at away games for just doing their jobs, posting on social media photos of police officers who are just doing their duty. There’s a lesson to be learned here and that’s that no group or person is bigger than the club."
