Greater Manchester's weather for today and the weekend - borough by borough

The rain will continue to fall across Greater Manchester today (Friday October 7), with both light and heavy downpours forecast in every borough.

The showers will start by mid morning for most places and will continue on until the late evening. It will be warmest in Trafford and Wigan where temperatures will top 15C.

Meanwhile Oldham will have the coldest temperatures overnight, dipping below double figures at 9C. After a rather wet week, a break from the rainfall would be welcomed - and we could be getting just that this weekend.

A mostly settled couple of days are in store across our region, with sunny intervals forecast for the majority of Saturday, changing to cloudy conditions by night time. Sunday will see a cloudy day for each borough, with temperatures peaking at 16C in places.

But some light rain is forecast from the late evening and into the early hours of Monday morning.
