United issued a statement on Sunday to confirm that they were also “aware of images and allegations circulating on social media.”
The Red Devils firmly said that the club “does not condone violence of any kind” and would “not make any further comment until the facts have been established.”

Nike, who sponsor Greenwood, has said it is “deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations” relating to the 20-year-old United striker.
Greenwood has scored 35 times in 129 senior appearances for United after coming through the Red Devils youth academy.
