'Great deal' - Manchester United fans all say same thing about Rasmus Hojlund transfer update

Manchester United fans have agreed with the club's £60million limit for a deal to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The Norway striker is United's primary target to strengthen their attacking options. Erik ten Hag had initially hoped for Harry Kane but the club were discouraged from trying to strike a deal by Tottenham Hotspur.

Hojlund has held video calls with Ten Hag and United hope to make him their next summer signing. However, MEN Sport understands the club are refusing to budge on their £60m limit, with Financial Fair Play still a concern. Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini was asked about his young star recently and he claimed Hojlund could be worth as much as €100m.

United have already spent around £102m on Andre Onana and Mason Mount and need to fall in line with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules. A striker remains the priority for the window but player sales will be needed to help United reach an agreeable fee.

United have already moved on Alex Telles this summer along with a number of their academy stars. However, further sales will be needed if Ten Hag is to land his priority signing. MEN Sport understands Fulham are interested in Fred while the likes of Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial could all be available for transfer should suitable offers be made.

Plenty of United fans fully support the club's stance and don't believe the club should pay more than £60m. The club have a history of overpaying for players and supporters don't want that to be the case again.
