Grandpa Greene's launches afternoon tea inside its cosy winter igloos
It may well be famed for its luxury ice cream but Grandpa Greene's is promising to keep customers toasty warm inside its cosy winter igloos.
The popular cafe bar, in the picturesque village of Diggle, in Saddleworth, Oldham, is launching an afternoon tea with homemade luxury treats, open sandwiches and unlimited tea or coffee. Or if you fancy a tipple then prosecco can be added as an extra.
Guests can either eat in the cafe or indoor garden room, or from Monday evening will be taking reservations inside its popular igloos, which will be up and running by Friday, September 29.

As ever, cafe bosses are expecting the 'incredibly popular' igloos to get booked up well in advance.
"Our igloos get snapped up very quickly," they said. "This is a unique dining experience located on our beautiful outdoor patio meaning you get to experience the picturesque views in a cosy igloo at no extra cost.
"To start with we will be open Friday, Saturday and Sundays, half term and fully open for all Christmas dates - more weekdays will be added as we fill up.
"As much as we absolutely love summertime here at GG's, our winter igloos are just one of the things we are known for and we couldn’t be more excited for these to make a comeback this winter and share all the upgrades that have been made to make these extra special this year."
Igloos can seat up to 10 people, with afternoon tea costing £22 per person. All cakes and sweet treats can vary depending on what cakes are baked that morning. Details of its Festive Afternoon Tea will be announced soon. Slots can be booked online.
