I Am Maximus has won this year's Randox Grand National at Aintree Racecourse.

The horse, ridden by Paul Townend and trained by Willie Mullins was 6/1 going into the famous steeplechase, according to William Hill. The race, which started at an earlier time of 4pm on Saturday afternoon, saw a reduced field of 34 horses attempt to complete two laps of Aintree covering four miles and 2½ furlongs and jumping 30 fences.
