Grand National 2022 results plus winners and placings in full
Noble Yeats was the 50/1 winner of today’s Aintree Grand National for amateur jockey Sam Waley-Cohen who was winning on his final ever ride. The winner became the youngest horse to win the race since 1947.
Any Second Now (15-2) followed him home in second - going one better than last year - with Delta Work (10/1) staying on into third place.
In fourth, Santini (33/1) came out of the pack running right back to his best form ahead of Fiddlerontheroof (12/1) who was up with the pace for a long way. Longhouse Poet was back in fifth after sharing the lead two out.
Freewheelin Dylan was back in 7th after leading into the home turn. Only fifteen runners got round with Lostintranslation being last to get round.
Scotland's hopes both ended at the 24th fence where their runners Dingo Dollar and Mighty Thunder both departed - the former still being in with a chance of placing when unseating Ryan Mania.
All horses were returned to the stables, although Eclair Surf - for whom the runners were waved around on the second circuit after falling at fence three - and Discorama, were still being assessed by vets.
