Grand National 2022: Betting tips for Everton and Liverpool fans

When looking at your bets for the Grand National you might not look beyond the favourites, or you could be a dreamer thinking of a big win from one of the outsiders.

Some may study the form guide and the ground while others will choose purely based off a horse's name, but you may be looking for a new way to choose.

However, in good news football fans then the Racing Post have put together a fun way of deciding your Grand National favourite based on the football team you support.

For example, Stoke City fans have been advised to back Envoi D'Allen, with the backing based on former Liverpool midfielder, Joe Allen.

They advise as follows: "Enjoy D'Allen oozes a bit of class and Stoke midfielder Joe Allen often strolls around midfield with the same attitude. Enjoy Joe Allen.".

You can have a go for your club here with Liverpool and Everton tips revealed below:

The Racing Post say: Delta Work's trainer, Gordon Elliott, is seeking his fourth Grand National title - a feat the Quadruple seeking Liverpool fans will be keen to get on board with.

We say : Multiple Grade 1-winning chaser who edged out stablemate and two-time Grand National winner Tiger Roll in the Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham last month. Aintree debutant but huge chance if he takes to the fences.

The Racing Post say: Eclairs are the original chewy toffee, but Everton adopted the 'Toffees' nickname after one of two toffee shops that were located in the Everton village at the time the club was founded.

Ran a blinder just under two lengths behind Win My Wings in the Eider Chase at Newcastle and that form took a major boost when the winner bolted up in the Scottish National last weekend. Well treated on by no means fully exposed as an 8-year-old.
