Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh shares heartbreaking family decision after dad's death

Ranvir Singh has opened up about the poignant reason behind her frequent travels with her son.

Speaking to Holly Rubenstein on The Travel Diaries podcast, the Good Morning Britain host shared that the loss of her father at a young age has profoundly influenced her approach to parenting and travel. She revealed: "I have always had a very strong sense of my own mortality. So my dad died when I was young, when I was nine and he was 42 and I think since the moment that I became a parent I think I've had this you know, this fear of what if, what if I go early, then what is he (her son) left with? ".

Driven by this awareness, Ranvir expressed her determination to create lasting memories with her 12 year old son through travel: "I always think that I want to be able to give him the opportunity to see as much of the world and do as many things with me, so that if something were to happen to me, he'd always have those firsts."

She recounted some of their remarkable experiences together: "We've seen the Northern Lights it was extraordinary, we were so lucky. We've been on safari in South Africa, we've done things together, that now I feel a sense of peace."

However, Ranvir also mentioned she's shifting towards more 'normal' holidays, aiming to leave new experiences for her son to enjoy with his friends as he grows older, reports the Express.

She further commented: "I'm now sort of pulling back a little bit and going, okay, let's just do more sort of normal (things), let's go to Cyprus, let's just do the normal stuff.
